Home Repair Assistance Programs

Allen manages three repair assistance programs to help keep homeowners in safe and stable housing.

• The CDBG Housing Rehabilitation Program is available to income-qualified Allen homeowners residing in a home built at least 25 years ago.
• Property Improvement Program is a matching grant and available to income-qualified Allen homeowners living in a home built at least 25 years ago.
• Urgent Repair/Accessibility Program is available to income-qualified homeowners living anywhere in Allen.

Applicants must meet program requirements (PDF) set by set by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
